U.S. History

Although I learned much from taking U.S. History, there's lots that I learned besides interesting facts about different wars and the past.  The example that is displayed is one of my essays for the final.  I was given two topics to write about with a list of words corresponding with the topics.  This specific essay is about the Revolutionary War.  In order to prepare for this, I made an outline of everything I wanted to include and where I wanted to include them at.  I also reread my notes, highlighted certain parts that I thought to be important, found quotes that I wanted to have, and skimmed through the chapters.  During the final, I made the essay into more of a story, so I wasn't just listing fact after fact.  This whole process taught me that preparation is vital for success.  I could not have written an essay like this without studying or preparing the way I did.  Through the work ethic that I have, I was able to work towards a goal and achieve it.  I've used this work ethic with every job I've obtained thus far, and I plan on using this work ethic even more with future jobs as well.
