Sports
Being involved in sports has many benefits. Upon hearing this, one would initially think that being in shape is the main one. However, while that is certainly a plus, there are many nonphysical benefits to participating in athletics. For example, it helps one learn time management. Going hand-in-hand with time management, being a student-athlete also teaches how to balance schoolwork with meets, practices, and rehersals. Over the years of dance, I have spent the majority of my nights staying up extra late after a long class to complete homework on time or to study for a test. I have learned how to deal with the stress and cope with other problems that have arisen from being so involved with both track and dance. These will both help me in the future because I'm now prepared for whatever tasks I'm given.
