Spanish
By taking Spanish all four years of high school, I have learned plenty about the language and Spanish culture. As I previously mentioned on the Spanish Club page, America is becoming more and more diverse. It is becoming more and more common for employers to desire someone who speaks multiple languages. Although there are still plenty of cases where it's fine if someone only speaks English, someone who speaks Spanish has more of an edge against them. Another aspect that Spanish helps with is that it works one's entire brain. For instance, the test displayed below has many different parts to it. It inculdes a listening portion, a writing portion, a reading comprehension portion, and a vocabulary portion. In my other classes, I do not take tests that include all of these different features. Spanish has taught me to think in other ways than I normally would. Besides that, the different tenses that we have been learning can be challenging at times. In order to fully comprehend them, I review them daily. I have realized that I cannot always get by with studying for only ten minutes for a test. I will have to prepare more if I want to succeed, and I think that's something that everyone can implement in their own lives.
